“We are trying to get into people’s head. It’s not a food desert, it’s a brain desert. The reason that there are no fresh foods and vegetables in the hood is because the hood ain’t cooking anymore,” Dr. Ridgely Muhammad lamented.  “Everything starts with culture.  Culture determines choices. Choices determine value and value determines economics,” he said.
